How to find The Chapel and the Wesley Tree

Rectory Lane is the main A259 road between Hastings and Rye. For SatNav the post code is TN36 4EY.

From Hastings proceed towards Rye and go through Guestling and Icklesham. Winchelsea is the next place. Keep on the main road taking a sharp left. The Chapel will be found on the right after Back Lane opposite some old ruins.

From Rye proceed towards Hastings. Keep on the main road where it turns inland, keep going straight on (not up the hill to Strand Gate!), then round the tight hairpin bend up the hill, past the Pipewell Gate. The Chapel will be found on the left after High Street and opposite some old ruins (BLUE teardrop on the map below).

From the Chapel go round the corner to High Street, proceed towards the town centre and turn right at the New Inn into German Street. The tree is on the opposite side of the road by the churchyard GREEN teardrop on the map below)
